Kees has a go at animations...
Kees has experimented with movie maker to make an animation explaining how earthquakes occur. It is his first try at animations and using this program. We think he has done a great job! You may have to turn up your volume and listen carefully...
Liam's Explanation
How and Why Earthquakes Happen?
An earthquakes is a shake in the ground.
The earth is made out of tectonic plates. Under the earth's crust there is a mantle, the mantle circulates making the plates move.
The plates rub together and they gain up energy and then they release.
It send shockwaves and this is what causes an earthquake. The ground shakes and people feel a jolt.
Earthquakes happen every day. Some cause lots of damage and others you can't even feel.
